Billy Strickland
Director
Billy Strickland has over 20 years of Emergency Medical experience in specialized areas of pediatric, geriatric, intensive care, traumatic and environmental emergencies as well as experience in other aspects of emergency services. His certifications include OSHA for general industry, ACLS and PALS Instruction, BLS and ALS Instruction, certification as a North Carolina EMT-Paramedic and is also a Master Diver. Billy currently serves as Assistant Chief of a local Rescue Squad where he has worked to advance the perception and training of Emergency Services since 1998. His experience with health care, fire and safety, and OSHA date back to 1988. Over the course of 14 years of talented instruction, Billy has molded a training strategy that proves successful with every class: "Include the students in a manner where the class can be fun, and everyone takes part in learning."
Gary Robertson
Lead Instructor
Gary has been involved in public safety for 17 years originally starting off as a volunteer. Currently he is certified as an instructor in CPR and First Aid, ACLS, PALS, and EMT-Paramedic. He also holds current certifications in Fire Fighter 1 & 2, Hazmat Technician, Emergency Vehicle Operators Course, Telecommunicator 1 & 2, ARFF Crash/Rescue, ICS, Proboard and IFSAC certifications in Officer, Inspector, and Instructor. Gary believes heavily in Teamwork, and from his experiences as a Paramedic he is very customer service oriented. Gary is firm in his belief, "Never tell a person how to do something, but instead show them so they can surprise you with their ingenuity and talent."
